Alright well this is the first photo on my new camera. This is me in the camera shop trying to convince the man that i didn't drop the camera but that it was broken when I received it. He finally believed me and replaced my camera with one that worked. Probably the most important thing I did today.
This is me with Sara Bezdjian and Kelsey McIntire... a couple of my favorite people at the Jerusalem center.  We are just chilling at the plaza by the Hurva synagogue trying to figure out what we should do next. I think we finally figured it out and went to the temple mount or at least attempted too. We waited in line to get in but unfortunately it closed before we could get through. It was alright though, next time I suppose.
second picture on the new camera. Yep that will do
At the Mamilla mall
the western wall with the dome of the rock in the background.  My favorite place in the Old City.
On the left is the church of all nations and on the right is the Russian Orthodox  St. Mary Magdalene's Monastery. Both are really cool and beautiful. On the left of the church of all nations is Gethsemane and the garden.
Waiting in line to get into the temple mount.

Why wasn't I studying?

Ok so here it goes. I have decided to write here instead of in my journal tonight because I feel like this day needs to be voiced. I feel a little tired and delirious right now but i hope that this will make some sort of sense. My day started out grand. Since it is Sunday it was our free day (we have church on Saturday over here in Jerusalem). I was trying to figure out what I was going to do for the day while eating the classic Jerusalem Center French toast and yogurt. I was in dire need of  a new camera and therefore made plans to venture into West Jerusalem and find one. Anyway long story short I got my camera and 10 shekels worth of dried coconut from the shuk which I managed to devour in approximately 1 minute or so. After that we went to The Great Synagogue. It was very quiet and peaceful and we all sat and pondered for a few minutes till we had to get back to the center to study for our finals that are approaching rapidly. On the way back, some of the members of our group wanted to stop for pasta, so we did. Too bad Cafe Hillel decided to be out of everything that I wanted, but it turned well because I got lemonade and later we got ice cream! Once back at the JC we confined ourselves to Seminar room 2 and put our brains to work. The rest was history.

MORE GOOD TIMES

On the outskirts of the Old City... notice the white limestone if you will.

A small pit stop on our way to Egypt, if I remember correctly.

This is Jess and I at the bent pyramid which was built by Pharaoh Snefru. The story behind this picture... At the JC each of us have headsets so we can listen to our teachers explain to us the important points of the sites we visit and I don't remember specifically, but I am guessing someone told me we didn't need them on this particular stop... we did however. I  decided to ask Jess if she would share with me for the day and to my surprise she accepted.... ha jk she has a tender soul and was glad to share. It turned out to be a successful day and we learned lots about the bent pyramid!

This is in front of the Church of All Nations which is located right next to the Garden by Gethsemane. We were on our way to Absalom's pillar and decided to take a picture.

Audryn's birthday... ya I think that explains it.

Just finished our final exam!... ha jk.. We are celebrating BYU's win over San Diego.

Blast From the Past Please

This is at Tel Beersheba! We went through an underground water system and therefore had to don hardhats to protect us form falling debris.
At the great pyramids on a somewhat hazy day with Raquel Higgins a somewhat crazy girl...

This is Luxor temple with my man A.J.

At the shuk (Israeli marketplace). You cant tell but in that plastic sack is dried coconut.  It May not sound like much but it is plain scrumptious.

Sunset on the Nile!
This is where we stayed before we hiked Mount Sinai at 2 the next morning. We had some free time when we arrived at our hotel... so, of course, we engaged in some friendly soccer with the natives. It was so fun except I tripped and got a small wound in my hand but it was dressed by the bus doctors... The climb up Mount Sinai, by the way, was pretty crazy... Ill talk about it later.

Dome of the Rock in the Old City... beautiful indeed.

JERUSALEM in the dead of night

Our view from the JC! The best view of the Old city... almost.

Arab night with some of my American-arab friends. Note the man dress... It may not look like much but it's actually one of my favorite cloths.

Hmmm... Not sure... Just a day out in the city with some of my favorite people

This is Sara and Dans. A picture tribute to my big bro who has returned to America... Miss ya bro!

Some of the dudes at the JC with some really cool statues of ancient people

This is at the bent pyramid. That is Abbi Chadwick and I just making memories i suppose.

This is a jacket that everyone despises at the JC. I think every time I wear it I get chastised for doing so.
